Bio:
Hero was born to Tarish Zantorian and his wife, Angelique, in the Imperial City in Cyrodiil. Though she was a second-generation immigrant and never saw Hammerfell for herself for many years, her parents made sure she knew that they were descended from a very noble line of Redguards, and that she should be proud of who she was. Her mother, a tutor to the children of the city, taught Hero to read, write, and sing, and her father, a locally prominent merchant and Fighter's Guild member, taught her discipline and honor. Hero was the firstborn in her family, and in time gained seven younger siblings.
From a young age, Hero quickly distinguished herself among her peers (even those of the same race) as an able and naturally talented fighter. Her father trained her in the art of combat shortly after learning of this talent -- and her mother, unwilling to let her eldest daughter become less than feminine, taught her to dance.
Hero became both more beautiful and more skilled as she blossomed into a woman. At fourteen, she and her parents and siblings moved out to Anvil, where she fell in love with the sea and often went out on small sailing expeditions on fishing boats and the like. She began getting offers from the Fighter's Guild and other organizations, eager to snatch up someone with her skills and talents, around sixteen, but at her mother's urging, Hero stayed at home and looked after the family. Nevertheless, she continued her training in the safety of the family's home, knowing that when she came of age, she would leave to seek her fortune elsewhere, as she'd so long dreamed she would.
Then, around the age of twenty, tragedy struck for Hero and her family. Around this time, the Oblivion crisis was at its peak, and the city of Bruma was calling for aid. Hero's father said that he wanted to go, but in his old age, his health was failing him. Soon after falling ill with that year's summer plague, he died. Hero, tortured with the prospect of having to stay and face the grief from her father's death, took up his sword and went to Bruma in his stead. It was her first real battle, and she would never be the same.
Hero returned from Bruma a changed young woman. Though her mother had her stay behind for about a year, she found she simply couldn't do that. At twenty-one, she left home, and began wandering. Since that time, she has earned a reputation among small villages in various places around Cyrodiil and even as far south as Leyawiin. Some call her "The Beautiful Wanderer," for the way she moves from township to township, helping people who need protection. Currently, she has no intention of settling down, nor does she have any intention of joining up with any official armies, despite her prowess.
